Footy Addis Terms of Service

Footy Addis helps people in Addis Ababa find football games, join them, and book pitch time directly with venue owners. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Footy Addis.

What Footy Addis Is (And Isn't)

Footy Addis is a platform that connects players, game organisers, and pitch owners. We are not a party to any game or pitch booking. Games are run by their organisers, and pitches are operated by their owners. We do not own, inspect, or control any venue, and we do not employ organisers or hosts.

Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when registering, and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Footy Addis is intended for adults. If you are under 18, use the app only with a parent's or guardian's consent and supervision.
• You can delete your account at any time from the app or by contacting support.

Bookings And Payments

• Pitch bookings are requests: the owner decides whether to confirm them. A booking is not final until the owner confirms it.
• Footy Addis does not process payments. Payment for pitch time is arranged directly between you and the venue — typically cash at the venue. Any payment dispute is between you and the venue owner.
• Prices, availability, and facilities are set and described by venue owners. We do not guarantee their accuracy.

Showing Up

Games only work when people show up. Organisers and hosts can record attendance, and repeated no-shows are reflected in a reliability score shown to other members. If you can't make a game, leave it or RSVP "out" as early as you can so your spot goes to someone on the waitlist.

Playing At Your Own Risk

Football is a physical sport. You take part in games and use venues at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Footy Addis is not liable for injuries, accidents, lost belongings, or disputes that happen at games or venues. Check that you are fit to play, and make sure the pitch and conditions are safe before you start.

Acceptable Use

• Be respectful. No harassment, abuse, threats, or discrimination toward other members, on or off the pitch.
• Don't post false, misleading, or offensive content — including fake games, fake venues, or dishonest reviews.
• Don't use the platform to spam members, scrape data, or interfere with the service.
• Owners must have the right to rent out the pitches they list.

We may remove content, cancel listings, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules or harm the community.

Your Content

Reviews, game descriptions, and other content you post remain yours, but you give Footy Addis permission to display them in the app. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

The Service

We work to keep Footy Addis available and reliable, but the service is provided "as is" — free of charge during our launch period — and may occasionally be unavailable, change, or end. Where we make significant changes to these terms, we'll post the updated version here with a new date.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Addis Ababa.
