Footy Addis Privacy Policy
Footy Addis helps players find football games and pitch owners manage available pitch slots in Addis Ababa. This policy explains the data the app expects to handle when launched publicly.
Information We Collect
- Account details such as name, email, phone number, role, neighbourhood, and profile preferences.
- Booking details such as games joined, pitch slot requests, payment status labels, attendance status, and owner notes.
- Venue details such as venue name, neighbourhood, pitch facilities, prices, ratings, cancellation policy, and owner information.
- Support messages, feedback, app notifications, and basic diagnostic information needed to keep the service reliable.
How We Use Information
- To show available games and pitch slots.
- To connect players, hosts, and pitch owners around confirmed bookings.
- To send booking updates, owner confirmations, and important account notices.
- To prevent abuse, improve app reliability, and understand which features are useful.
Payments
The current MVP does not process card, wallet, or bank payments. Booking payment labels such as cash at venue are operational notes only. If online payments are added later, payment processing should be handled by a certified payment provider and this policy must be updated before release.
Sharing
We only share booking information between the player, host, and pitch owner involved in a booking. We do not sell personal information.
Storage And Deletion
Your data is stored in a managed database. Passwords are never stored in plain text — only salted, one-way hashes. You can delete your account yourself in the app, which removes your profile; to request full deletion of related records or a copy of your data, contact support@footyaddis.com.
Who Can See What
Your name, neighbourhood, role, and skill level appear in the players directory and on game rosters visible to signed-in members. Your email and phone number are never shown publicly; a contact phone you add to a pitch booking is shared only with that venue's owner.
Children
Footy Addis is intended for football organisers, adult players, and venue owners. A public launch should include age rules and guardian consent handling if minors can use the app.
